Commitment to Patient Care
I offer a personalized, confidential, and thoughtful approach to psychiatry and psychotherapy for you or your child. I emphasize evidence-based medicine and stay current with the latest research to ensure the highest quality of care for my patients.
Education and Training
I graduated from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran, with a degree in medicine. I then completed my General Psychiatry Residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. I went on to attain my Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Yale Child Studies Center in New Haven, Connecticut. I am board-certified in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
In addition to psychiatric training, I am a certified group psychotherapist (CGP), as accredited by AGPA. I have also pursued psychoanalytic training at the Center for Psychoanalytic Studies in Houston, Texas, and the Denver Institute for Psychoanalysis, to become a board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychoanalyst (FABP). I am a faculty member at the Denver Institute for Psychoanalysis and a lecturer and supervisor at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Denver.
