Education and Training

I completed my medical degree at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran, and then finished my Residency in General Psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. I went on to attain my Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Yale Child Studies Center in New Haven, Connecticut.

I am board certified in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I am also an AGPA Certified Group Psychotherapist. Concurrent with my psychiatry education I pursued training in psychoanalysis at the Center for Psychoanalytical Studies in Houston, Texas, and the Denver Institute for Psychoanalysis. I am a faculty member at the Denver Institute for Psychoanalysis. and a lecturer and supervisor at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Denver.
